INJEONG "INJI" YOON-RAMIREZ
Injeong “Inji” Yoon-Ramirez is an Assistant Professor of Art Education at the University of Arkansas. Before she moved to Arkansas, she volunteered at Literacy Connects in Tucson, Arizona, and taught English for adult bilinguals. She was also a multiple subject teacher for about 6 years. She is currently living in Springdale with her partner and two dogs, Jimi Houndrix and Stevie Nicks.
Inji Yoon es Profesora Asistente de Educación Artística en la Universidad de Arkansas. Antes de mudarse a Arkansas, se ofreció como voluntaria en Literacy Connects en Tucson, Arizona, y enseñó inglés para adultos bilingues. También fue profesora de asignaturas múltiples durante unos 6 años. Actualmente vive en Springdale con su esposo y dos perros, Jimi Houndrix y Stevie Nicks.

AYME VILLANUEVA
Ayme Villanueva is from Honduras and has lived in the United States with her family since August 2010. In Honduras, she is a Doctor of Pharmacy and has an equivalency Bachelor of Science with a major in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an Associate Degree in Art in the United States. Ayme has been volunteering with different organizations such as the Adult Education Program at the Jones Center and the Justice for Workers organization as well as with local churches and community leaders. Ayme is passionate about helping Hispanic adults achieve a Higher Education Degree regardless of the obstacles and lack of opportunities that kept them from finishing their education. Ayme is a strong believer that regardless of your past, age or difficulties, everything is possible through hard work and determination.
Ayme Villanueva es de Honduras y ha vivido en los Estados Unidos con su familia desde agosto de 2010. En Honduras, es Doctora en Farmacia y tiene una Licenciatura en Ciencias equivalente con una especialización en Ciencias Farmacéuticas y un Grado Asociado en Arte en los Estados Unidos. Estados Ayme ha sido voluntaria en diferentes organizaciones, como el Programa de Educación para Adultos en el Centro Jones y la organización Justicia para los Trabajadores, así como con iglesias locales y líderes comunitarios. A Ayme le apasiona ayudar a los adultos hispanos a obtener un título de educación superior, independientemente de los obstáculos y la falta de oportunidades que les impiden terminar su educación. Ayme cree firmemente que, independientemente de su pasado, edad o dificultades, todo es posible a través del trabajo duro y la determinación.

LUCERO AGUIRRE
Lucero Aguirre is from Chicago, Illinois and is an Artist & Educator skilled in Interdisciplinary Practices. She received her BFA from Illinois State University, MFA from the University of Colorado-Boulder and is planning to pursue MA in Art Education at the University of Arkansas. Her work focuses on addressing the affects American Imperialism has on the children of first-generation immigrants living in the United States through storytelling. She lives in Fayetteville with her partner and 15-year old pug, Tobias.
Lucero Aguirre es de Chicago, Illinois y es una artista y educadora experto en prácticas interdisciplinarias. Recibió su BFA (licenciatura en artes plásticas) de la Universidad Estatal de Illinois, MFA (maestría en artes plásticas) de la Universidad de Colorado-Boulder y obtendra una segunda maestría en Educación Artística en la Universidad de Arkansas. Su trabajo se centra en abordar los efectos que el imperialismo estadounidense tiene en los hijos de inmigrantes de primera generación que viven en los Estados Unidos a través de la narración de cuentos. Ella vive en Fayetteville con su pareja y Tobias, su pug de 15 años.

KIARA TORREY
Kiara Torrey is from Winchester, Virginia, but is now living in the Bentonville area. She is currently working towards her bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and Minor in Art History at the University of Arkansas. She is planning to further pursue her education after graduating in 2021 to earn a Master’s in the arts as well. Kiara’s work examines identity and what it means to be biracial. She has developed her works with an Interdisciplinary approach that reaches across multiple mediums such as sculpture, painting, book making, and projection mapping. Her mother migrated to the United States from Panama and taught her how to speak Spanish and continues to teach Kiara more about her culture and family history. This passed down knowledge is used to fuel Kiara’s voice and work.
Kiara Torrey es de Winchester Virginia, pero ahora esta viviendo en el área de Bentonville. Actualmente ella está tomando sus estudios para obtener su licenciatura de Arte con especialización en Historia de Arte en la Universidad de Arkansas. Ella planea continuar su educación después de graduarse en el año 2021, para obtener también una maestría en artes. El trabajo de arte de Kiara examina la identidad y lo que significa ser birracial. Ella ha desarrollado sus trabajos con enfoque interdisciplinario que abarca múltiples medios como la escultura, la pintura, la realización de libros y el mapeo de proyección. Su madre emigró a los Estados Unidos desde Panamá y le enseñó a hablar español y continúa enseñándole a Kiara más sobre su cultura y historia familiar. Este conocimiento que ella a obtenido lo utiliza para alimentar su voz y su trabajo.
